Goulash Soup
Ingredients:
pastry for 9-inch, two crust pie
2 Tbsp. Equal (or 20 packets Equal)
1/4 C. flour
1/4 tsp.
nutmeg
1/2 tsp.
cinnamon
1 dash salt
6 C. tart
apples
(4 to 6 Granny Smith), pared and thinly sliced
1 Tbsp. margarine
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. In a
mixing bowl
combine Equal, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. Add dry mixture to apples; toss gently to coat fruit. Fill a pastry lined 9-inch pie plate with apple mixture; dot with margarine. Cover with top crust that has slits cut in it; seal and flute edge. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees F. Turn oven down to 350 degrees F. and bake an additional 30 minutes.
