4 Italian sausages (hot or sweet)
1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil
1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 cup chicken broth
2 to 3 cups hot cooked rice
Cook sausages in covered medium skillet in small amount of boiling water 6 minutes. Pour off water. Add oil and cook sausages until brown. Add pepper, onion and garlic to skillet. Cook, covered, about 10 minutes. Add cornstarch dissolved in wine and chicken broth. Cook, stirring, until clear and thickened, 2 to 3 minutes. Serve over hot rice.
