Shanghai Steak

1 1/2 lbs lean top round steak, cut 1/4 inch thick
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 16-ounce can stewed tomatoes (2 cups)
1 16-ounce can fancy mixed Chinese vegetables, drained
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 cups hot cooked rice
Cut steak into 6 portions and marinate in mixture of soy sauce, ginger and mustard 1 hour or longer.

Remove steak from marinade (reserve marinade); brown steak in oil in large skillet over high heat. Add tomatoes and marinade; heat thoroughly. Stir in vegetables and cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water. Cook, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes or until clear and thickened. Serve with hot rice.
