Ingredients:
1 pound of medium
shrimp
1-1/2 teaspoons of Creole seasoning
2 teaspoons of sugar
3 cups of peanut or vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup of evaporated milk
1-1/2 cups of Italian Bread crumbs
1/2 cup of fish fry
Italian Seasoning, optional
Romano cheese
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375F. Split cleaned shrimp down the middle. Season with Creole seasoning, sugar and Italian seasoning. In a medium
mixing bowl
, break 2 eggs, add milk and whip until eggs and milk are
blended
. Preheat cooking oil on a medium flame. While oil is heating continue by mixing bread crumbs and fish fry in a zip lock bag. Dunk shrimps in egg mixture, drop in ziplock bag and shake until shrimp are covered with batter. Fry for about 12 minutes, 6 minutes on each side or until copper brown. While shrimp is still hot sprinkle on Romano cheese.
