Southern Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients:
1/4 Cup margarine
1 Cup celery, chopped
3/4 Cup onion, chopped
4 Cups cornbread, crumbled
8 Slices dried bread, cubed
1-3/4 Cups TURKEY BROTH
1 Cup TURKEY GIBLETS, cooked and chopped
3/4 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
1 Large egg, slightly beaten
Instructions:
In medium-size skillet, over medium-high heat, heat margarine. Saute celery and onion in margarine until slightly tender.
In large bowl combine celery mixture, cornbread, bread cubes, turkey broth, giblets, salt, poultry seasoning, pepper and egg. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.
Spoon dressing into lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees F for 40+ minutes or until the internal temperature registers 165 degrees F.
