Cheese and Artichoke Fondue

1 1/2 cup diced process American cheese – (8 oz)1 cup milk1 tbl Worcestershire sauce1 tbl Gold Medal all-purpose flour1 tsp ground mustard1 1/2 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese – (6 oz)1 can artichoke hearts – (14 oz) drained, chopped1/4 cup chopped roasted red bell peppers ordiced pimiento—– DIPPERS —-French or herb bread cubesSoft breadsticksCut-up bagelsVegetables (sliced carrots, cherrytomatoes, broccoli flowerets, cauliflowerets)


Mix American cheese, milk, Worcestershire sauce, flour and mustard in 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted.

Stir in Cheddar cheese until melted. Stir in artichoke hearts and bell peppers.

Transfer cheese mixture to fondue pot. Keep warm over low flame. Serve with dippers.

This recipe yields about 4 cups fondue.
