Favorite Rye Bread Posted in : Bread Machine on by : Daphne Ingredients: 5/8 C. flat beer1/4 C. water1 1/2 C. bread flour3/4 C. rye flour1/2 tsp. salt1 Tbsp. shortening1 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar1 1/2 Tbsp. molassesgrated rind of 1/2 orange1 tsp. caraway seeds2 tsp. red star active dry yeast for all machines Instructions: Place all the ingredients in bread pan. select a light crust setting, and press “start”. After the baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack, and allow to cool 1 hour before slicing.
