Lentil Stew Posted in : Slow Cooker on by : Daphne Ingredients: 1/2 C. lentils rinsed1/2 C. navy beans rinsed2 C. chopped onions2 C. sliced celery5 carrots scrubbed, sliced1/4 C. brown sugar1 C. barley1/2 tsp. thyme1/4 tsp. garlic powder2 bay leaves1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper1/2 C. red wine1 quart V8 vegetable juice2 C. water Instructions: Combine all ingredients in crock pot. Cook for 4 to 6 hours on high heat or for 8 to 10 hours on low heat. Remove bay leaves before serving.
